Intel Corporation launched the newest in its Processor line, the Intel Core i5. This new processor builds on the success of the Intel Core i7 processor with some new bells and whistles that provides performance while delivering a price point below the Intel Core i7. Along with the Core i5, Intel has also launched two new Core i7 processors. The three processors utilize a new LGA1156 Socket.
We haven't taken the Intel Core i5 for a spin however the early reviews from Tech sites such as Toms Hardware and AnandTech has been very positive. The Intel Core i5 features intelligent performance through a process called Intel TurboBoost technology which is said to accelerate the processor clock speed up to 20 percent to match the users workload. The Intel Core i5 750 processor features a 2.66 GHz base frequency and is designed to reach a maximum Turbo frequency of 3.20 GHz. This is extremely beneficial for all segments from Gamers to Graphics and Video Editors while providing stable computing for those wanting the performance while handling task such as Email, Word Processing and surfing the web as most of us use in our everyday life workflow. Multitasking with the Intel Core i5 is said to be 28 percent faster.
