Many years ago I looked at a software program that in my opinion was cutting edge and offered an easy solution for creating photo montages on the PC. I remember telling a few of my friends that I was looking for a software package that could create a slide show that was more then simple dissolves and fades. Most of the recommendations pointed at the Mac which offered a program to handle these basic duties.
I had received an email from Muvee around the same time offering me a trial version of their program called "Autoproducer" that was touting the very features I had been thinking about. I remember installing the program and putting together a photo montage within about a half an hour. It was amazing! I liked the product so much and wanted to put it to use that I went ahead and purchased a licence before the trial was up, always nice to get rid of a watermark!
The company has built upon their success and longevity of ten years with a recent edition to it's lineup which offers fantastic performance and features for a very reasonable price point. Muvee Reveal is the bringing together of the program which gives users the ability to add not only photos to a timeline but also video from a variety of sources and then have these elements segue to music in tempo, "styles" and the emotion of the music for creating a top notch production in a workable time frame.
The idea of a Drag Drop and Create program may be perfect for some however I do like to create and have some control of the process. Maybe redirecting the elements of a Zoom and Dissolve on a photo or the amount of time in between the photo or video. The is no problem with the Muvee Reveal program. The user can easily change up the style from a Sports type fast effect laden production to photo gallery page turning book in seconds. The "Muvee" can be previewed in the Reveal playback window and then either tweaked or output. If you want to narrate over the top, that is completely available within the program.
We also enjoy that many different options are available to the user for sharing the masterpiece. If the user wishes to output to DVD or iPAD they can do it easily however can also select for HD screens, H.264, WMV, Cell Phones and other portable devices. Uploading can also be done directly to YouTube, Facebook or other social networking sites. It really doesn't get easier than this however I can imagine, the folks at Muvee will still develop even easier methods.
